Schred is an in-house recycling system. This equipment is suitable for use with most types of plastic, in particular the commonly used ones such as HDPE and LDPE (the materials most milk bottles are made from), HIPS (vacuum forming sheets).

Schred System

The Process

  • Shred your used plastic
    • The R25 Schredder chips plastic material into small pieces. This reduces the volume of waste by up to 95%, and also creates a re-usable material.

  • Re-form the shredded material into new plastic sheet
    • The R30 Sheet Press forms the chipped plastic into new sheets of material ready for use.

Applications for Commonly Re-Formed Plastic Sheets

Material Application
HDPE*/LDPE* (milk bottles) Can be cut using a bandsaw, vibrating saw or laser cutter.
Can be folding using a strip heater.
Can be injection moulded.
HIPS (vacuum forming sheets) Can be vacuum formed.
